Young Voices of America Rewrite Mom and Dad
Open to Students in Grades K-5

While you were sleeping, mischievous young aliens from outer space visited your neighborhood and played a prank on your family. Using a super duper brain re-looper, they turned Mom and Dad into your pets and your pets into Mom and Dad!

Write a story about what happens one very topsey - turvey day when pets act like parents and parents act like pets. How will you convince the giggling aliens to put things back the way they were?  Or will you?

Have fun and feel free to use any pet you have or wish you had.

Remember to send us your best work and give your story a title. Take your time and have someone help you proof read your story and find any mistakes before you send it to us. Spelling, punctuation and grammar are important.
